Snowflake Shaker Card

As promised during my Facebook Live here is the tutorial
on hoe to make this fun snowflake shaker card!
If you missed the live you can watch it HERE.

I had such fun making different things with the Snow Kissed Flakes and Tag die set!
I will share some of the projects with you over the next few days!

So let's get started with this shaker card!

Step 1: Fold a piece of card so you have a 5" x 5" tent fold card and
using the outer snowflake die cut to make a card.
Make sure you cut inside the top of the flake for a folded edge.

Step 2: Fold the front of the card in half to make the base of an easel card.
Die cut a single piece using the outer die also.

Step 3: Adhere the die cut to the folded piece of the easel card.
Die cut another from the Winter's Eve paper pad and adhere to the bottom
of the card. Also die cut a snowflake in white card using the inner die and adhere
to the base also.

Step 4: To make the front of the shaker card die cut the following:
1 x Snowflake in paper from the paper pad.
1 x Outer die using clear card.
1 x Frame using both dies together.

Step 5: Adhere the frame onto the acetate using dries clear glue
and a fine metal tip. Make sure not to get glue over the acetate.

Step 6: Snip the snowflake apart and adhere into the frame on your acetate.

Step 7: Adhere 3D foam pads around the edge of the front of the shaker. Make
it a double layer to give extra depth for your bits to shake well.
Cut the outer die using the papers for the paper pad so you have a scene
at the back of your shaker.

Step 8: Adhere the back to the acetate leaving a small section open
and add your bits to shake! I used prills and sequins in mine.
Adhere this to the easel card.

Step 9: Adhere flowers and a sentiment and you card is ready!
Have fun making some of these!

Vellum flowers with the Classic Sunflower

I was inspired by an old post from Emma Lou to make these flowers!
Although I used the Classic Sunflower stamp and die set
I made a totally different flower from them!

They even look different made in vellum and paper!

I love how the glitter and glass shards look! They sure do sparkle!
It's a great way to add sparkle to your cards!

And inside I made a pocket, perfect to add a cash gift or a gift card.
Or you can add tags and journaling pieces it's up to you!

Directions for making the flowers

Step 1: Stamp the Classic Sunflower in white ink onto vellum and heat
emboss with white embossing powder.

Step 2: Die cut the flowers using the Classic Sunflower die and then using the Precision Daubers colour the backs of the flowers with ink. I used Brilliance Crimson Copper on mine.

Step 3: Using the quilling tool from the Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit
shape the petals. To do this slide the petal into the gap on the tool and place half way
along the length of the petal and curve over your finger folding the two
outer edges of the petal together.

Step 4: Using a ball shaping tool, gently press around the outer edge of the inner
of the flower to bring the petals up. Using your fingers shape the petals so they curve inwards.

Step 5: Layer three different sizes on top of each other and adhere in place.
Adhere prills to the centres, I used Lemon Chiffon from the Spring Bling set on mine!

Leave your flowers aside while you make the card.

To make the card:

Step 1. Using a 6" x 6" White fold out card blank cut the two smaller folds away from
the card so you only have the one left. The smallest we will use inside for a pocket.

Step 2: Using the Fleur Border basics die cut a border for the front of the card.
Place a 6" x 6" piece of card behind the front of the card and place the die on so it sits exactly over the front on the back piece and tape in place. Die cut and your border will perfectly
match the front of the card. Adhere to the card.

Step 3: Using a 6" x 6" piece of card second stamp the Classic Sunflower stamp
in Brilliance Crimson Coral Ink and die cut to fit the front of the card.

Step 4: Using glue and a sponge dab glue over areas of the stamped card and adhere glitter to it.
Do the same things and this time adhere glass shards to it for a fun sparkly effect.

Step 5: Adhere when dry to the card and adhere the flowers and a sentiment along with
some vellum butterflies heat embossed in white.

Step 6: Make a pocket inside the card in the same way using the piece we cut away earlier.
It's perfect for messages or adding money inside the card!

To see how this is made watch this video of me doing a live Facebook tutorial HERE

Here is another card made with the same flowers but made out of paper so you can see the
difference. I made them the same as the vellum ones but added Crystal Clear powder to them#for a sparkly effect! I do love my sparkle!

Have lots of crafty fun!

Handbag card/gift box tutorial

Here is a another project and tutorial with the new shadow boxes!
I had fun making this!

As promised during my live on HeartfeltCreations Facebook page (You can watch the video replay HERE) here is a step by step project to make this fun card/gift box!

Step 1: Cut piece of card 11 2/16" x 5" and score at 5" and 6 2/16".
This will form the outer of the handbag.

Step 2: Cut 2 x 5" x 5" pieces of paper and a 5" x 1" strip and
adhere to the front of the handbag.

Step 3: Take a square shadow box and adhere a 5 x 5" piece of paper
in the centre of it. Adhere the box together leaving one
side open as this will be used to place a gift inside.

Cut a 4 1/2" x 4 1/2" piece of acetate and adhere over the box top.

Cut two 12" x 1/2" strips of paper and adhere around the box sides overlapping the
papers at the corners to get a smooth covering. Trim to fit.

Step 3: (I had to use a Kraft shadow box for the pic as I forgot to
take it as I was making the project!) Cut a 5" x 5" piece of paper to go over the
top of the shadowbox.

Lay it over the back of the shadowbox in place where it would go.

Step 4: Turn the shadowbox and paper over and draw around the aperture in pencil.

Step 5: Lay the Cut Mat Create 2B die over the drawn lines,
tape down and die cut and adhere to the shadowbox.

Step 6: Cut another 5" x 5" piece of paper for the inner of the second
shadow box. This will be the card side of the box.

Adhere the box together and cover the sides and top as previously
described above. Decorate the inner with flowers and a sentiment.

Step 7: Cut a 5" x 1" strip of paper and adhere to the centre of the inner
of the outer. Adhere the card shadow box to the outer also.

Step 8: Cut a tag from the paper pad and score at 1/2! along the base
and adhere to the inside of the outer of the handbag.
Step 9: Adhere the other shadowbox over this section and the inside is complete.

Step 10: Cut 2 pieces of paper for each handle. ( 4 in total)
Place the colour you want on the outer sides so in this case the green is on the top
and on the bottom. This way you get a perfect cut handle!

Lay the large decorative edged oval die on the paper and the largest small
oval die inside, tape down and die cut.

Do this for both handles.

Step 10: Adhere the pieces together and trip the base of the oval away
to form handles.

Step 11: Adhere the handles to the bag and fasten the tag in place to
close the bag and hold everything together using a velcro dot.

Step 12: Decorate the front and back of the bag.

I used the Classic Sunflower on the front.

On the back I made a pocket and add some jouranling pieces
from the paper pad.

Have lots of crafty fun!
